Comics Trade Laughs for Toys
The 7th Annual Toys for Laughs Show to take place Nov 21st.
This Year, the sprit of giving starts with some Laughs, Chuckles and a few Guffaws. This is because for the 7th year now Top Comedians are out there to collect toys for underprivileged kids for the Holiday Season.
For Admission to the show every Guest brings a toy valued at $5 or more. Some bring 3 or 4.
Show Creator and Producer Alan Katz, puts this on as a labor of love. Katz has been a comedy entertainer for years and now uses his skills each year to help needy kids by putting on this show. It is his way to give back to the community.
This year the charity is For the Child. For the Child provides comprehensive child abuse treatment and family focused mental health care, counseling, and therapy to strengthen families and provide the tools of healing to children. They are based in Long Beach and will pass on the toys to children in need.
The Show is being Co Sponsored by The Lakewood Elks Lodge who adopted the show in its 4th year and has been a dream to work with providing manpower and butts in the seats
The Show will take place on November 21st at 8pm at the
Lakewood Elks Lodge
12507 Carson St Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716.
Free secured parking in the rear of the building available.

Admission to the show is a $5 unwrapped toy.
Several nationally touring Comics will be donating the funny to the show. They have appeared on the Tonight Show and other late night shows as well as Comedy Central and in the movies. Currently scheduled are Kira Soltanovich, Vic Dunlop, Mark Wilde, Laura Hayden, Jaz Kaner, Celeste Davis and others. The show ranges to PG to R rated humor so it would not be appropriate young children.
